Life in Spokane

Spokane gets overlooked and shouldn't be: 260 days of sun, five ski mountains within 90 minutes, and a walkable downtown built around the river falls. Washington has no state income tax, and the housing market still behaves reasonably.

About the role

Ironwood Behavioral Health is expanding our Spokane Valley outpatient clinic and adding a second PMHNP to the team. You'll manage an adult and adolescent medication-management panel alongside two psychiatrists, three therapists, and a dedicated RN care coordinator — with a genuine open-door collaboration culture, not a signature-only arrangement. Intakes are blocked at 60 minutes and follow-ups at 30; we practice measurement-based care with PHQ-9, GAD-7, and AIMS built into every visit workflow.

The case mix is what you'd expect from a community serving eastern Washington and the Idaho panhandle: mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and a growing MAT program for opioid use disorder (buprenorphine waiver training paid if you don't have it). No inpatient rounding, no ER call — our inpatient team covers the hospital side, and warm handoffs go both directions.

Spokane gets overlooked and shouldn't be: 260 days of sun, five ski mountains within 90 minutes, a walkable downtown on the river, and Washington income tax is zero. This clinic is an NHSC-approved site, so federal loan repayment is on the table too.
