About the role
Locum tenens Emergency Medicine physician opportunity at an acute care hospital in Santa Fe, NM. The ED sees approximately 26,000 visits annually with 30 ED beds, 6 fast track beds, and 4 ICU beds (open ICU model). No trauma designation; no pediatric admissions or CDU/observation unit. On-site helicopter service and full imaging capabilities including bedside ultrasound, CT, MRI, and radiology reads.
Flexible start date with day, swing, and night shift options (9 and 12-hour shifts). Day shift runs 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, swing shift 2:00 PM–11:00 PM, and night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
Epic EMR in use. Travel reimbursed and malpractice provided. Credentialing averages 3–6 months, though expedited and temporary privileges are available. MD supervision of APPs is required.

Requirements
- ABEM board certified or board eligible required by agency
- ABIM or ABFM physicians with documented EM experience may be considered with a formal training plan
- MD or DO degree
- Active New Mexico license required
- Active DEA registration required
- ABEM-boarded physicians exempt from BLS and ACLS
- Non-ABEM physicians require BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
