About the role

Meridian Virtual Health is expanding its 24/7 virtual urgent care and emergency triage service. We're hiring board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to evaluate acute, non-life-threatening concerns over phone and video, direct patients to the right level of care, and provide same-day treatment and prescriptions where appropriate. You'll work from home with a modern telehealth platform, strong clinical support, and no billing headaches.

What you'll do: Conduct virtual urgent care visits (colds, flu, infections, minor injuries, rashes, prescription needs) and rapid triage of higher-acuity presentations. Determine appropriate disposition — self-care, telehealth follow-up, in-person urgent care, or ED referral — and coordinate handoffs. Prescribe and manage medications within scope and state regulations. Document clearly and promptly in the EHR. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of NPs, PAs, nurses, and care coordinators. Uphold evidence-based protocols and contribute to quality improvement.

Nice to have: Licensure in multiple states (we support the licensing process and cover fees). Experience with urgent care, tele-triage, or virtual-first care models. Bilingual (Spanish/English).

What we offer: Competitive base salary plus productivity bonus. Full malpractice coverage (occurrence-based). Medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with match. Annual CME stipend and paid CME days. Multi-state licensing support and reimbursement. Genuinely flexible scheduling and a fully remote setup.
