About the role
Seeking a BE/BC Emergency Medicine Physician to join our group at Prairie Ridge Regional Medical Center (sample employer). Great fit for someone who wants to settle in affordable, small-town Winterset, IA or live in vibrant Des Moines, IA and commute — full-time position of 10–12 shifts per month.
Details: 8 bed ER, 62 bed hospital Annual volume: 11,200 24 hour physician coverage 12 hour shifts, 7A-7P, 7P-7A EMR: Epic $3,350/shift, +$25/hr night shift differential 10 and 12 shift/month contracts available, 3-4 night shifts/month avg FT = $402,000 (10 shifts), $497,760 (12 shifts) $60k sign-on bonus for a 3 year commitment Student loan repayment: $220k over 5 years if you live within 15 miles of Prairie Ridge, or $160k if outside that radius $25k relocation bonus Average 26 pts/24hrs, average 1.4 PPH for day shift, <1 PPH for night shift Pediatrics, OB/GYN, orthopedics, general surgery, and cardiology on staff
Health System: The hospital is part of a larger health system, Prairie Ridge Health (sample), with two additional facilities. The larger tertiary center in Des Moines, IA — roughly 40 minutes away — accepts transfers for patients who need a higher level of care.
